This refreshing breakfast made me hop straight out of bed for two reasons. 1) Who doesn't enjoy chocolate and strawberries together?! and 2) A healthy, yet incredibly delicious and creamy strawberry ice cream, with massive dark chocolate chunks swirled in, is nourishing enough to qualify as a 5-star breakfast! No but seriously as simple as this smoothie bowl is to make, it has become one of my new favorites simply based on how easy it is to make! As weird as it sounds, this smoothie bowl will fill you with that enchanting valentines day feel, due to the iconic and unbreakable chocolate and strawberry combo. You have a good excuse to make this indulgent breakfast: it's single serve so you get to eat it all, and it can be blitzed up in under 5 minutes!
YIELD: 1 serving
TIME: 5 mins.
Ingredients:
- 2.5 cups frozen strawberries
- A splash of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Instructions:
Add everything listed above to a blender (except for the dark chocolate chips), and blend until smooth.
Stir through the chocolate chips using a spoon, then pour into your serving bowl of choice, and top with additional chocolate chips, because you can never have too many.
