Banana Nut Fudge Smoothie Bowl

This creamy banana ice cream, with chopped nuts, and chocolate chunks folded in it, makes for the most irresistible breakfast! Unlike the well-known Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream, which we all could probably eat by the spoonful, this smoothie bowl version is much more nourishing and will leave both your sweet tooth and body extremely satisfied! Not to mention the surprise nuts and chocolate chunks folded in add the best crunch, making for a perfect bite!

 

YIELD: 1 serving

TIME: 5 mins.


Ingredients:

- 2.5 frozen bananas

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 tbsp almond butter

- 1/4 cup almond milk

- 2 squares of dark chocolate (chopped)

- 1/8 cup nuts of choice (chopped)

 

Instructions:

  1. First we're going to chop our nuts and chocolate by adding them both to our blender and blending until chopped into bite sized bits.

  2. Transfer chopped chocolate and nuts to a separate bowl and add the bananas, almond butter, milk, and vanilla to your blender now and blend until a smooth, creamy ice cream remains.

  3. Fold in your chocolate and nuts using a spoon and pour into serving dish. Top with extra banana slices, more chopped nuts and chocolate.

  4. Enjoy!!
